NSU and BISTU Agree on 2+2 Dual Degree Programme in Information Security
Nakhchivan State University (NSU) and Beijing Information Science and Technology University (BISTU) have reached an agreement to establish a 2+2 Dual Degree Programme in Information Security.
Nakhchivan State University (NSU) and Beijing Information Science and Technology University (BISTU) have reached an agreement to establish a 2+2 Dual Degree Programme in Information Security, marking an important step in strengthening academic cooperation between Azerbaijan and China.
As part of the negotiations, representatives of the two universities held detailed discussions on the alignment of curricula and academic requirements, ensuring compatibility between the courses and credit systems of both institutions. The parties also discussed scholarship opportunities and financial support mechanisms for students participating in the programme.

Under the proposed 2+2 model, students will complete the first two years of their studies at Nakhchivan State University and continue the following two years at Beijing Information Science and Technology University. Upon successful completion of the academic requirements of both institutions, students will be eligible to receive degrees in accordance with the terms of the dual degree agreement.
Following the successful completion of the negotiations, the parties reached agreement on the final protocol of the programme. The official agreement is scheduled to be signed by the Rectors of Nakhchivan State University and Beijing Information Science and Technology University on 19 October 2026 in Beijing, China.
The new dual degree programme is expected to expand opportunities for student mobility, strengthen cooperation in information security and related digital technologies, and contribute to the development of highly qualified specialists with international academic experience.
