On June 12, 2024, Nakhchivan State University held the “Cycle to Campus Day” event aimed at promoting sustainable transportation, environmental awareness, and a healthy lifestyle among students and staff. During the event, participants were encouraged to commute to the university by bicycle instead of motor vehicles. The initiative was organized to support eco-friendly habits, reduce carbon emissions, and raise awareness about the importance of green mobility within the campus community. The event began with a symbolic cycling tour starting from the university’s main entrance and continued around the campus area. University leadership, faculty members, and students actively took part in the ride, highlighting the importance of personal responsibility in protecting the environment. In his opening remarks, a representative of the university administration emphasized that “Cycle to Campus Day” is not only a sporting activity but also a call to adopt environmentally conscious habits in everyday life. It was noted that such initiatives contribute to the realization of the university’s “Green Campus” vision. At the end of the event, participants shared their impressions and discussed ideas for promoting cycling culture across the university. Certificates of appreciation were presented to the most active participants. The event concluded with a group photo and a collective message: “Ride for a Greener Future.”
