On this occasion, an online meeting was held at the higher educational institution. At the meeting attended by Azerbaijan's ambassador to Hungary, Tahir Taghizadeh, and the first secretary of the embassy, Seymur Abdullayev, Tahir Taghizadeh highly appreciated the mutual relations established between the two universities. He emphasized that this established cooperation will make great contributions to the strengthening of interregional relations by combining the experience and skills of the two sides in the field of education and science. Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev welcomed the participants of the meeting and thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary and the administration of John von Neumann University for the assistance provided during the visit to Hungary a few months ago. The rector said that the topics agreed upon during the visit to John Von Neumann University were reflected in the memorandum and said that as a result of mutual cooperation established between the two higher education institutions, relations with other Hungarian universities will expand. At the meeting, Rector of John Von Neumann University, Tamas Fülöp, expressed confidence that the cooperation between the two universities will be fruitful in the direction of joint research and joint projects within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program. The Rector emphasized that the representatives of the higher education institution headed by him will visit Nakhchivan State University in the near future and mutual meetings will make greater contributions to cooperation. Then a cooperation memorandum was signed between the universities. The agreement includes articles such as cooperation in academic and educational fields, international mobility programs, teacher-student exchange, exchange of academic information and materials, conducting joint research, etc. At the same time, computer engineering, double diploma projects in the fields of teaching in English, student-teacher exchange in the field of economics and business organization, conducting joint research with the Eurasian Knowledge Center formed the basis of the established cooperation.
