DA memorandum of cooperation was recently formalized between Nakhchivan State University and John Von Neumann University of Hungary. This significant development was commemorated through an online meeting held at the higher educational institution. The meeting was attended by notable figures including Azerbaijan's ambassador to Hungary, Tahir Taghizadeh, and the first secretary of the embassy, Seymur Abdullayev. Ambassador Taghizadeh expressed high regard for the established relations between the two universities, emphasizing the potential of this collaboration to greatly contribute to the strengthening of interregional ties, particularly in the realms of education and science. Rector Elbrus Isayev of Nakhchivan State University extended a warm welcome to the meeting participants and conveyed gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary and the administration of John von Neumann University for their support during a recent visit to Hungary. Rector Isayev highlighted that the topics agreed upon during the visit to John Von Neumann University were reflected in the memorandum, underscoring that the mutual cooperation between the two higher education institutions would facilitate expanded relations with other Hungarian universities. During the meeting, Rector Tamas Fülöp of John Von Neumann University expressed confidence in the fruitful outcomes expected from the cooperation between the two universities, particularly in the realms of joint research and projects within the ERASMUS+ program. He further emphasized plans for representatives of his university to visit Nakhchivan State University in the near future, anticipating that mutual engagements would significantly enhance cooperation. Subsequently, a cooperation memorandum was formally signed between the universities. This agreement encompasses various facets of collaboration, including cooperation in academic and educational fields, international mobility programs, teacher-student exchanges, exchange of academic information and materials, and joint research initiatives. Additionally, specific areas of cooperation such as computer engineering, double diploma projects in English-language teaching, student-teacher exchanges in economics and business organization, and joint research with the Eurasian Knowledge Center were outlined as foundational elements of the established collaboration. Ambassador Tahir Taghizadeh extended congratulations to both educational institutions and conveyed well wishes for their success in fostering mutual cooperation.
