Life below water

Nakhchivan State University (NSU) is dedicated to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) by actively engaging in efforts to preserve clean water resources and strengthen environmental water rights. Through initiatives like the ECOLEAD project and various educational workshops, NSU raises awareness about water conservation and pollution prevention. In collaboration with the Nakhchivan Ministry of Ecology, NSU monitors water quality in local rivers and maps underground water resources. Additionally, NSU’s participation in the release of juvenile carp into the Heydar Aliyev Reservoir highlights its commitment to enhancing biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems. These efforts underscore NSU’s role in promoting sustainable water management and environmental stewardship.
