A Cooperation Memorandum Has Been Signed Between The Azerbaijan University Of Architecture And Construction And Nakhchivan State University

The official opening ceremony of the “Design Week,” the next major creative platform of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC), was held. The memorandum provides for the expansion of mutual academic cooperation in the field of design, the implementation of joint scientific research and creative projects, and the organization of seminars, trainings, master classes, and exhibitions. It also envisages the development of inclusive education opportunities, the realization of joint initiatives, as well as the implementation of programs aimed at enhancing the professional skills of young people. At the same time, the documents serve to strengthen relations between higher education institutions and social partner organizations, support the training of specialists in line with the requirements of the modern labor market, and establish new cooperation platforms in the creative industries. The Rector of Nakhchivan State University, Elbrus Isayev, stated in his speech that they are interested in studying modern approaches applied in the field of design at AzUAC. He emphasized that the expansion of mutual cooperation in this direction and the implementation of joint projects are planned. The event, held within the framework of the “Year of Architecture and Urban Planning,” coincides with the upcoming World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be hosted in Baku. In this regard, the platform plays an important role in revealing the creative potential of young people and familiarizing them with modern design thinking and the concept of a sustainable urban environment. According to the opening program, exhibitions featuring the works of students from guest universities were organized. At the exhibition, architectural models, technological solutions, and applied projects prepared by students of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of Nakhchivan State University were met with great interest by participants. These exhibitions contribute to the expansion of cooperation between higher education institutions and the exchange of experience. In addition, effective meetings and important discussions were held in the field of university–industry cooperation.
