NSU Rector Elbrus Isayev Engages in Q&A Session with Foreign Students as Part of the 'Open Microphone' Project

The latest installment of the recurrent project saw a gathering with foreign students of the higher education institution, attended by notable figures including Aida Jalilzadeh, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Khayal Jamalov, Vice-Rector for General Affairs, and Ilhama Mustafayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Rector Elbrus Isayev highlighted the distinguishing feature of the institution—its significant proportion of foreign students, who actively contribute to both academic and extracurricular spheres. Isayev underscored collaborative endeavors between local and foreign students, including joint scientific research, participation in historical commemorations, sporting events, and intellectual competitions, as well as their involvement in organized excursions and trips. During the interactive session moderated by Huseyn Imanov, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee, Rector Isayev attentively addressed over 30 questions from foreign students, predominantly from the Faculty of Medicine. Discussions encompassed official ties with Turkish higher education institutions, emphasizing practical collaboration, particularly in the medical field, and the promising prospects of dual diploma projects with esteemed Turkish institutions. Isayev also offered guidance on attendance and academic readiness. Additionally, insights were provided by Aida Jalilzadeh, Khayal Jamalov, and Ilhama Mustafayeva on pertinent subjects raised by students.
