Nakhchivan State University proudly represents Azerbaijan in the "Robotex Azerbaijan Eurasian Championship," hosted for the first time in the country. The opening ceremony, held on March 2 at the Baku Sports Palace, saw distinguished guests including the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Mr. Cahit Bagci, and various notable figures from governmental and educational institutions. Supported by Nakhchivan State University, Robotex Turkey, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azercell, and the Global Olympiad Center, the championship boasts participation from over 250 teams comprising 6 universities, 41 schools, and 10 private enterprises, totaling more than 1500 participants and attracting over 5000 guests. Competing across 18 categories within 4 age groups—primary, middle, senior, and university students—the championship aims to identify top contenders who will advance to the semi-final stage in Antalya. The first three placing teams in each category will secure spots in the semi-finals, while teams ranking 4th-5th will also have the opportunity to participate, courtesy of a special award from the jury. Successful teams in the Antalya semi-finals, featuring representatives from 18 countries, will earn the chance to compete in the world championship in Estonia this November. Winning teams in the Robotex Azerbaijan Eurasian Championship will receive trophies and certificates, with additional advantages offered to participants in the startup competition. These include the opportunity to establish companies in Turkish technology parks and receive financial support from the Turkish government. Furthermore, certificates earned in the competition will enhance students' prospects for scholarships at renowned international universities.
