Bahruz Mammadov, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agriculture at the institution, a Doctor of Philosophy in Pedagogy, delivered a lecture titled 'Zootechnical Feeding of Bosphorus Cattle in Family and Farm Settings: Organizational Feeding Conditions and Application of Artificial Insemination in Cattle Breeding.' Emphasizing the significance of such seminars, Dean Mammadov stressed the importance for students to witness these processes firsthand. Yusif Gurbanov, Director of the Artificial Insemination Center, elucidated the center's operations, providing comprehensive insights to seminar attendees. Gurbanov highlighted the center's dedication to breeding enhancement and breed composition improvement, underscoring the pivotal role of artificial insemination as an efficient method within their endeavors. Subsequently, students were acquainted with the laboratory facilities housed within the Artificial Insemination Center. Detailed explanations were provided regarding the packing and storage procedures of deep-frozen semen straws, quality assessment protocols for deep-frozen semen, pod-based freezing methods, ejaculate rinsing techniques, semen pod filling processes, sorting and equilibration procedures, as well as preliminary ejaculate examinations. Additionally, students received instruction on farming practices, accompanied by visual demonstrations showcasing various application forms of artificial insemination.
