Students of the Faculty of Arts of Nakhchivan State University, studying in the specializations of “Painting” and “Teaching of Visual Arts,” together with lecturers from the Department of Visual Arts, conducted plein air sketching sessions in order to capture the spring scenery of nature on canvas. During the sketching session, students observed and depicted the characteristic color tones of the spring season, light and shadow effects, and natural compositions directly on canvas. The young artists focused on important aspects such as accurately perceiving the overall color harmony of nature and distinguishing between primary and secondary elements in composition. The outdoor setting provided students with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of real-life landscapes and to further develop their painting skills. This session contributed to strengthening the students’ creative potential, enhancing their observational skills and aesthetic sense, and also provided them with valuable experience for their future artistic endeavors.
