The Sectional Meetings Of The “3rd International Duzdag Research Congress” Were Held At Nakhchivan State University

The “3rd International Duzdag Research Congress” was held on November 14 through the joint organization of Nakhchivan State University, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Trade Unions Council, Çankırı Karatekin University, Iğdır University, University of Rzeszów, the Nakhchivan Division of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), and the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan. The congress, which was inaugurated at the Duzdag Treatment Center, aimed to scientifically investigate the geological, medical, environmental, and tourism potential of salt mines, conduct international discussions in this field, and create new opportunities for cooperation in speleotherapy and health tourism. The work of the congress continued with sectional meetings held at Nakhchivan State University. Discussions were conducted in face-to-face and online formats across three halls and five panels, covering the following topics: “Flora and Fauna in Saline Ecosystems,” “Chemistry, Biotechnology and Medicine,” “Environment and Sustainable Development,” “Economy and Social Progress,” “Geology and Mineralogy,” “Ethnography and Cultural Heritage,” “Architecture and Technology,” and “History and Archaeology.” At the sectional meetings, more than 60 presentations by scholars from five countries representing 21 academic and educational institutions were delivered and heard. At the conclusion of the congress, certificates were presented to the participants.
