On October 31, a cooperation meeting was held at Nakhchivan State University between Nakhchivan State University and Duzce University. At the meeting, the Rector of Nakhchivan State University, Elbrus Isayev, provided information about the university’s history, development, and activities. It was emphasized that Nakhchivan State University, which has a modern and multidisciplinary education system, is one of the leading higher education institutions in the country with a contemporary campus located on an area of 108 hectares. The university maintains direct relations with nearly 150 universities worldwide, with Turkish universities playing a leading role in these partnerships. It was also noted that among the university’s international student body of approximately 1,800 students from 23 countries, students from various regions of Türkiye constitute a significant proportion. The Rector highlighted the university’s diverse academic training system, stating that education is provided across nearly 250 programs. Furthermore, it was underlined that international cooperation is being strengthened through structures and initiatives such as the IELTS and SAT Registration and Examination Center, the IBM Center, the Technology Park, and various project-based collaborations. Dual degree programs and staff and student exchange initiatives with both national and international higher education institutions are being successfully implemented. Nedim Sözbir, Rector of Duzce University, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, shared information about the higher education institution he leads, and conveyed his confidence that the future cooperation to be established with Nakhchivan State University would pave the way for successful joint projects. During the cooperation meeting, agreement was reached on several areas, including doctoral-level staff training, the organization of joint scientific conferences and collaborative research projects, the implementation of double degree programs, academic staff cooperation, and the expansion of faculty and student exchange programs. It was also planned that both higher education institutions would mutually benefit from each other’s scientific, teaching, and innovation infrastructures, and would jointly implement activities in other areas of mutual interest. In addition, proposals were exchanged regarding future collaborative initiatives, particularly the planning of artificial intelligence–based projects.Subsequently, a cooperation memorandum was signed between Nakhchivan State University and Duzce University, followed by a commemorative group photograph.
