As part of its dedication to a sustainable future, Nakhchivan State University (NSU) has taken significant steps to raise public awareness and create educational opportunities in renewable energy, reaching both its students and the wider community. NSU actively promotes renewable energy solutions through research, training, and public events, reinforcing its commitment to supporting 100% renewable energy initiatives. NSU faculty have contributed to global discussions on green energy by publishing a research article, “Solar Energy Resources in Nakhchivan,” in an international journal, offering valuable insights into the region’s solar energy potential. Additionally, NSU researchers enhanced their expertise through hands-on training at the "Pure Energy Development" SARL facility in Wismar, Germany, where they focused on solar panel production and alternative energy technologies. To further engage the community, NSU invited local school students to an open lesson on green energy at the university, fostering early interest in sustainable practices. The university also organized educational sessions at the Julfa and Shahbuz Solar-Wind Hybrid Power Stations, where students explored energy efficiency and renewable technologies firsthand. Further strengthening its advocacy for renewable energy, NSU hosted a webinar titled “The Key Directions of Azerbaijan’s Energy Diplomacy,” connecting students, faculty, and the public to broader energy-related discussions. Moreover, an international internship for energy engineering students in Italy provided cross-border learning experiences, enabling students to explore advanced renewable technologies and practices. Through these initiatives, NSU not only promotes renewable energy within the university but also actively contributes to community awareness and global knowledge, supporting a vision of sustainable energy for the future.
